Darlene, don't forget when setting your valentine table to scatter Royal Lace 4 inch hearts on your table. The heart sachet on the package back can also be made to hold candy. Glue your two hearts together leaving the top open, fill with candy hearts and tie the top of the heart closed with a ribbon.
Makes a great table favor.

What ideas do you have regarding merging doilies
into collectable
hobbies such as Stamp collecting?

Dear Mr. Witsil:
This is a very good question. When you say stamp collecting I assume that you are referring to postage and not rubber stamping.
If you are assembling an album of your favorite stamps, especially stamps with Royal figures on them, I think adding a white ROYAL LACE paper doily behind them on your page would make a great presentation, since a lot of our patterns are designs from Queens bridal gowns. Keep your page simple by using one doily with a block of stamps, letting a little bit of lace showing from behind.
I know that there are several series of love stamps, these would be great displayed with our 4 or 6 inch hearts. If you exchange stamps with other collectors, use our Basket lace square, fold in the four points towards the center and you have created a lace envelope to enclose your floral or love stamps, to be mailed within a mailable envelope.
Like scrapbooking you want to be sure that you are using acid free products, our white paper doilies are acid free. Glue sticks can be used, applying along the outer edge of doily. Scrapbooking departments at Craft Stores have albums, glues and other products that could helpful in your projects.

Where can I find the paper for rub on decals ? I've heard about them from
other crafters but I can't find them and they don't remember where they
saw them.

I have done some checking for you on rub on decals. This is a product that we do not sell, but I can maybe help you out with a place to start. First have you checked your local craft stores and scrapbooking stores? You can also try some craft product sites. CRAFTPRODUCTS.com this a a online craft store. TransferMagic.com Deltacrafts.com I hope these will be helpful. Royal Lace does make products that might interest you. We have a great line of INK JET papers, Iron on Transfers, Window Decals, Greeting Card Kit, Photo Paper, Magnetic Paper. All easy to use with your ink jet printer. Clara Lee, you also mentioned you love to decorate eggs, something that I have done. Using a papier mache egg, paint with a pastel color acrylic paint. Use a Royal Lace medallion doily foil or paper and cut the designs out. Then I decoupage the pieces to the egg using a decoupage glue. Complete with a bow at the top and hanger.

Dear Nancy,
Thank you for writing. Our white Royal Lace doilies are acid free, along
with our printed "Collections" doily line. Using doilies in scrapbooking
adds a nice flair, especially in wedding albums. Cut out the center heart
from any of our Royal Lace hearts, 4, 6 and 8 inch to create a heart frame.
The lace edging from our placemats makes a great border on your page. To
apply doilies in scrapbooking, you can use a product known as "Sticky Dots"
sold in sheets at craft stores, or permanent glue sticks used in scrapbooking.
The paper doilies are fragile so use care when applying glue. When scrapbooking,
be sure to look for Sonburn Papers, you will love the complete line of beautiful
border papers, a wide range of colors of cover stock and our vellum papers.
Check out Royal Store on our website and Sonburn products. Making crafts
with doilies is fun and easy. I have plenty of great ideas in my column

Thank you for writing, I have several ideas that are easy and beautiful. You
will need, ROYAL LACE 4'' hearts, gold, silver, red or white. Lightly apply
glue to the edge of one heart skipping the top portion. Place glued doily
onto another heart and let dry. Heart can be filled with an evergreen piece
and a bow glued to front. A thread can be glued on for a hanger. Again using
the 4 inch heart, shape into a cone and secure with glue, decorate with a
sticker and fill with berries, glue a thread for hanging. Using ROYAL LACE
placemats and a 6 inch piece of cardboard tubing (from a toilet paper roll,
paper towels, or gift wrap core) Place core onto the end of doily, tape and
roll, secure end with a Holiday sticker, Pinch the overlapping ends and slightly
push into tube ends. For a special treat as a gift ornament, fill with candy
or small toys. I hope these ideas get you started.

Thank you for writing. This is a great question, because people are always
looking for a beautiful ideas for ways to hold bird seed or petals. The easiest
doily to use to create a cone is ROYAL LACE hearts. I would use the 6 inch
size for petals. Our hearts come in white, pink, and red paper, gold, silver,
purple and red foil. Hold the doily in both hands with point up, shape into
cone and secure with tacky glue. If you are using petals you will not have
to worry about a small opening at the bottom, if you are using bird seed,
stuff a piece of tissue paper or tulle into cone bottom. A piece of ribbon
can be used to make handle, decorate the front with stickers or a bow. This
is also a great table place marker, fill with tulle and candy then using ROYAL
LACE 4 inch hearts punch hole in the corner , write in the name and tie to
cone with ribbon. A creative idea if you are giving a check or cash, Use a
6 inch round doily and wrap around your cash and tie with a ribbon, place
in card, seal in envelope, then wrap around the envelope a doily, using our
basket squares or placemats. Tie with a beautiful ribbon and silk flower finishing
with a bow.

Crafts is a wonderful Magazine and we are proud to advertise in it. To make
the Angel ornament you will need to purchase ROYAL LACE poinsettia 8 inch
doilies. ROYAL LACE 6 inch gold medallion doilies. The Victorian face is cut
from an old greeting card or you can find stickers with angels or cut from
gift wrap an angels face, and tacky glue or Hot glue gun. Fold in half the
Christmas doily staring from each side fold like a fan. Glue on your angels
face, the one shown was holding a book, if all you have is a face then glue
a bow or some holly under her chin. Cut from the gold doilies a section of
the circles to create wings and halo. Glue a piece of ribbon to back for hanger.
Another idea for her face, you can use a 1 inch wood button, purchased at
craft stores. Hot glue some moss for hair. Using permanent markers fine point,
draw a heart with red for her mouth, eyes can be made with black marker maker.
Hot glue to doily and glue bow under her chin. This is an easy project.

Living in Connecticut I do see snowflakes!!, and though they are beautiful
when falling, not so beautiful when driving!! I am glad you enjoy ROYAL LACE
products and we are proud to advertise in CRAFTS magazine. What you will need
is ROYAL LACE 4 inch white, gold or silver medallion doilies. 1 yard of yarn,
shown is red with white, you can use white, or gold also. Cut the piece of
yarn in half, fold in half the two pieces and make a knot at the folded edge
to create a loop. You will then have 4 pieces hanging. Fold in half 4 doilies,
Slide folded edge of the each doily onto each of the for pieces of yarn. Secure
the bottom pieces of yarn by tying or using a piece of ribbon and making a
bow. The Stars on the tree are made by using ROYAL BRITES poster board, GOLD/SILVER.
This is an easy project, fun for the whole family.

Thank you for your question. To make your own stationary, a lot depends on what
style you want. Using SONBURN PAPERS, you can choose from a large selection
of styles for every season. Sonburn Papers come in various sizes. You can stencil
your name, or use a rubber stamp with your initials. You can also use a rubber
stamp with embossing ink and powder to get a raised letter look. If you are
looking to something fancier with a Victorian look, you can use ROYAL LACE DOILIES.
Using a 8 inch basket square, fold in the lace edges towards the center. Cut
a 4 1/2 in square from plain paper to be used as an insert to be printed on
in the lace card. Seal with a sticker or ribbon. Envelope to mail this card
can be purchased at Office-Stationary stores. ROYAL LACE PLACEMATS can also
be used to make a fancy note card, Place an 8 1/2 piece of Stationary onto the
wrong side of the doily and lightly glue the corners. Leave some of the lace
edge showing. Fold up the remaining section of doily and lightly glue into place.
Fold in half and decorate with stickers or recycle the picture from an old greeting
card. Have fun being creative.

I don't know if you can help me with this one. However, I am trying to put together several copies of a cookbook for my family and friends for Christmas. The book presently contains over 150 unique recipes that I have compiled over the years. However, I am interested in purchasing stationery for the final printing. Ideally, I am searching for a variety of paper styles with decorative borders that I could choose one pattern from for the cookbook.. I am also looking to buy in bulk (several hundred sheets for multiple copies) Does your site sell anything along these lines? If not, would you be able to recommend a site that could help me?

What a special idea for those people dear to you! I think they will all love the time and effort spent in preparing a gift such as this. My suggestions for producing the pages would be to design the recipe as you would like to see it on the page using the typeface and formatting that appeals to you and emphasizes the recipe. Print this onto a plain sheet of white paper. Select fine designer stationery to accent the recipe. For example, a homemade burrito recipe can be spruced up when printed on a page of peppers and chilies, Cinnamon Coffee Cake looks lovely printed over a watermark teapot design. Overlay the white sheet on the design paper to be sure that your borders are in line and that you will not be losing any text. Then print your recipe onto the chosen paper. Or if you are making more than a few copies of the book it may be worthwhile to visit a copier shop and use the printed white sheet as your master. Place the design papers in the bypass and make multiple copies more efficiently. You can find many themed designs of Sonburn designer papers at: http://www.theroyalstore.com. Also, in your bathroom use Royal Lace Hearts under your perfume bottle and doilies under the toothbrush holder, soap dispenser becomes not only functional but attractive. Royal Lace at one time made rolls of lace, but I have found that the modern homes are using other techniques. Royal Lace makes a variety of products that I feel will enhance your cabinets. Royal Lace Basket Squares in white come in a 8,10 and 12 " size, fold doily in half to form a triangle. Cut on the fold. Place onto shelf folding the lacy point down. Also our Placemats have a beautiful lace edge. Another ides is using our 6" hearts fold in half with the point over the edge. If your whole kitchen is glass cabinets, I would only use the edging technique on one section that perhaps houses your crystal or collectibles. Don't forget to use some doilies underneath your dishes since they will be visible. I use Royal Lace placemats on my shelves for a beautiful liner and also in my drawers. Start with a small area at a time and see how you like the look. Have fun.
