Doily Jewelry and Accessories

Materials needed for jewelry:
Glue gun, tweezers, pin backs, barrette backs, 1 Spool jewelry making wire
1 jar acrylic sealer 1 sheet Glo-Blasters® posterboard

Materials need for Pink Collection:
1 8" x 12" White Royal Lace placemat, 1 5" White Royal Lace Medallion doily,
1 sheet Glo-Blasters pink posterboard Assorted colors and sizes pearls and glass beads,
1 package gemstone shapes, assorted ribbon roses, 1 yd. each color 1/4" satin ribbon,
1 yd. Each color 1/8" satin ribbon
  1. Cut desired shapes from posterboard for jewelry backing. Our oval barrette is 2-1/2" x 3-1/2". Our pins are 2" x 3-1/2" and 2-1/4" x 3".
  2. Adhere pieces of doily to each shape using acrylic sealer and following manufacturer's directions. Trim excess doily from around edges, coat with acrylic sealer and let dry.
  3. Using tweezers, attach pearls, gemstones, roses, and ribbons with glue gun. String groups of pearls and beads together using jewelry wire. Attach these groupings with glue.
  4. Center and glue pin backs and barrettes to jewelry backs.

Materials need for Purple Collection:
1 Gold Royal Lace heart shaped doily, 1 4" Royal Lace Medallion doily,
8" x 10" square purple foil paper, 6" Gold rick rack,
1/2 yard 1/8" satin ribbon, Assorted pearls,
Purple foil twisted craft paper

Barrette:
  1. Fold gold foil heart in half and fan fold (from bottom point of heart up to the top).
  2. Gather and scrunch center of heart together and secure with a piece of floral wire.
  3. Cut a 3" length from purple twisted craft paper. Zigzag cut the ends. Twist in center to create a bow and attach to center of foil heart with glue.
  4. Tie a 14" piece of 1/8" satin ribbon around center and make an attractive bow.
  5. String four pearls together with jewelry wire and glue to center of bow.
  6. Attach barrette to back of creation with glue gun.

Pin:
  1. Cut an interesting posterboard shape and cover with purple foil. Cut a 2-1/2" section from gold foil 4" doily and glue to foil shape.
  2. Loop and glue gold rick rack to shape. Center and glue pearl to front and pin to back center of creation.
