Potted Doily Daisy Craft

Here's a craft idea for you to try. It's easy to do and fun activity for the whole family.

1) Six (6 inch) Royal Lace French Lace doilies (available for online ordering at The Royal Store.com; or call toll free 800-669-7692 for information about retailers nearest you)
2) One 1 1/2 inch yellow pom pom, used for flower center (or child's photo cut to same diameter size circle.)
3) One 8 inch lollipop stick
4) White and green Royal Brites posterboard (available for online ordering at The Royal Store.com; or call toll free 800-669-7692 for information about retailers nearest you)
5) Green Floral tape and floral wire
6) 4 inch terra cotta flower pot
8) Styrofoam filler for pot
9) Moss

1. Cut two 3 inch circles from white posteboard. Set aside.

2. Fold each doily in half, then pleat by 1/2 inch folds to make a fan.(Fig. A)

3. Make doily flower by gluing each of the six fan points onto centerpoint of one white circle. Arrange them like petals, placing peated points at center of circle. (Fig. B)

4. Wind green floral tape around lollipop stick. (Fig. C)

Glue stick end to back of doily flower, and use remaining white circle as a backing to conceal end.

5. Cut two leaf shapes from green posterboard. Wrap a short length of floral wire with green floral tape, then sandwich between the leafs with hot glue to make leaf stem. Repeat for other leaf.

6. Attach leaves a few inches above bottom of stick using floral tape.

7. Place styrofoam in pot, inserting your flower by the stick.
Arrange moss on top of pot to conceal Styrofoam
Finish by hot gluing the yellow pom pom or photo to make flower center. (Fig. D)
