Instructions for completing a Scrapbook Page
So you’ve done the fun part, you’ve chosen your theme. You’ve searched and hunted for the perfect background paper to show off your photos and memorabilia. You’ve pulled out die cuts and punches, scrap paper solids and decorative edged scissors…. Now you can REALLY start to play!

These tips are as a guide only. The real masterpiece is what comes from you and your imagination. It’s the way you use your knowledge of the subject to breathe life into the pages that you will be able to show off for years to come!

TIPS:

·        Center photos on a mat, a solid color of cover stock paper that matches one of the primary colors in your border.

·        Glue the mat to your background page.

·        Cut out the decorative emblems and wording from old greeting cards and glue them on the page, overlap a corner of the photo for a layered effect.

·        Cut small triangles, 1 ½” x 1 ½” x 2 ¼”; glue triangles and the corners of your photo.

·        Use the circle cutter to create medallion-like individual photos. Place the circle on a gold circle or heart background. Glue or draw a chain link to give the appearance of a locket showing off your picture.

·        Embellish your page by precise cuts of Royal Lace doilies. Cut circle designs out of the Medallion doilies or use the scalloped edges to mat a circle photo.

·        Page toppers give a friend an easy hint about the subject of the page:

§      “Marissa’s Melted Halloween Candy!”
§      “Nana Meets Joshua: b.12/4/97”
§      “Sock Puppet Party”
